Happy New Year from the Fix Family.

Things on the farm are slowing down a bit.  The 2016 crop has been packed sold.  Winter has come and the trees have gone dormant.  We say things are slow, but there is still plenty to do.

We have removed some old orchards to make room for new trees for some new and exciting apple varieties.  Some of the new newest varieties that we are planting are:  Ever Crisp, Koru, Autumn Crisp, Crimsom Crisp and Rubens Red.These are varieties that you may or may not have heard of, but we think will be a good addition to our already existing varieties.

This time of the year, is when we prune our apple trees.  Its a job that takes up most of our winter hours on the good days and on the not-so-good days we are in the shop repairing our equipment for the next season.

As of now, this winter has been more normal temperature wise.   Last year we had warmer temperatures which, as you know, effected our stone fruit crop. Stay tuned for more updates as the year progresses.  We appreciate your interest in our farm.
